Friday Link Love

It’s Halloween weekend, and things are bound to get a bit spooky. Goblins, witches, and drunk guys in togas are beginning to sprout up all over town. I made the huge mistake of walking into Party City earlier this week, and there were some Black Friday level antics taking place as college students and soccer moms grabbed for what remained on the shelves. I got what I needed and got out of there as quickly as possible. In related news, the giant bag of trick-or-treat candy is taunting me mercilessly. I just want one little piece, but I know once I open the bag all bets are off. Actually more for Andy than myself; he is a huge fan of the tiny bags of Peanut M&M’s. I came home after running errands once, and there he was playing video games surrounded by wadded up candy wrappers. It’s nice to have traditions though, right?

These spider web cupcakes are really cute, and I am thinking about making a batch for funsies this weekend.

My Halloween weekend will include both Practical Magic & Sleepy Hollow.

Take your Cinderella costume to a whole other level with these Irregular Choice kicks.

I am very fawned of this beautiful deer makeup tutorial.

If I had found a witch hat I actually like, this would have been my costume.

And this tutorial for beautiful bird’s nest hair makes me wish very much so for long hair again.

Taking pumpkin decorating in a very classy direct, LOVE these dark floral pumpkins.

Speaking of classy, how gorgeous is this black and gold Halloween party?

If you want to go for something a bit more campy, you could make one of these spooky signature drinks.

About Julie

My name is Julieanna Bucior, but I go by Julie (unless I'm in trouble). I'm thirty one. I am a bookkeeper by day, rogue fashion designer/crafter/amateur baker by night. I spend most of my time feeling like a kindergartner trapped inside an adult's body. I love reading, hanging out with my crazy cats and being silly. I'm pretty much the girl next door, with a twist.
