Friday Link Love

Well guys, as I write this, I am a sad Julie. My mom is heading back to North Carolina today, and the house already feels emptier as she packs her stuff away. I know I am a grown woman, and I should relish a quiet, empty house, but I don’t want my mommy to leave. The only consolation is, as sad as I am to see her go, she is even sadder to be leaving. We’ve had an absolute blast the past few weeks and she says that she is definitely coming back for another birthday week next year…and that I should start planning for that now. Birthday week for Andy; birthday week for my mom. I really need to stop doing this to myself. Oh well, to the links!

I think this should become a widely accepted wedding tradition. Flower girl picnic pics are like something out of a storybook.

Speaking of picnics, a recipe for adorable watermelon jello shots. Silkia, I am looking at you!

When I was in elementary school, I used to get in trouble for trying to carve my crayons into different shapes – to the extent of my teacher confiscating them and only letting me have them back when we had to color. Such a shame, maybe if I’d had a bit more encouragement, I could have graduated to pencils and become awesome enough to make things like this sculpture.

As a lover of cupcakes, tea and t-shirts, I feel like this t-shirt needs to make it’s way into my closet. It would go great with my purple glitter chucks.

I tried my hand at making paper flowers a couple of weeks ago, and they turned out pretty well. With lots of practice, I someday hope to make blooms that rival these. Dream big, right?

About Julie

My name is Julieanna Bucior, but I go by Julie (unless I'm in trouble). I'm thirty one. I am a bookkeeper by day, rogue fashion designer/crafter/amateur baker by night. I spend most of my time feeling like a kindergartner trapped inside an adult's body. I love reading, hanging out with my crazy cats and being silly. I'm pretty much the girl next door, with a twist.
