My Wedding Shoes

Anyone who knows me can attest to the deep undeniable love I have for shoes.  I think it part Cinderella magic slipper envy and part curvy girl shopping phobia. Being almost 6 feet tall and extremely voluptuous (i’m not a huge fan of the term “plus sized”) has always made shopping for clothing incredibly difficult and frustrating; the one exception being shoes.  I might have big feet (size 10), but I can usually find beautiful shoes at any standard department/shoes store without a whole lot of trouble.

So when it came time to find the shoes for my impending walk down the aisle I knew I had to find something special.  Fortunately, I can wear heels since Andy is a good 5 inches taller than I am, but the wedding dress consultant told me that I had to keep it to the 2.5-2.75 inch range or i’d have to special order my dress as a “tall”. So after hours, and I do mean hours of research and browsing I found the perfect shoes. Bright sapphire blue, peep-toed, low heeled perfection:

The brand is Me Too and the shoes name is Jeanette.  And the icing on the shoe cake? Right now these lovelies are on sale at Zappos.com.  Mine are sitting next to me here at work, since my future sister in-law advised me to wear them around the office for a couple of months before the big day to wedding day blisters. Now if I could just stop looking at my feet….

About Julie

My name is Julieanna Bucior, but I go by Julie (unless I'm in trouble). I'm thirty one. I am a bookkeeper by day, rogue fashion designer/crafter/amateur baker by night. I spend most of my time feeling like a kindergartner trapped inside an adult's body. I love reading, hanging out with my crazy cats and being silly. I'm pretty much the girl next door, with a twist.
