The baby bug is going around at the office this week. One of the guys I work with just welcomed baby #3 to the family, and all of us females are getting the vapors over tiny shoes and onesies. I never really wanted kids until I was about 23, then I changed my tune to “well maybe, someday” and then after I met Andy it turned into a full blown “yeah, we’re totally going to have kids”. The last two years my biological clock has been on overdrive, but the timing hasn’t been right. Fortunately, two of my close friends had babies last year so I can live vicariously for a little longer. As if the week wasn’t wasn’t baby-rific enough, this gorgeous pregnancy shoot showed up on my blog feed. I will be buying this outfit the moment I find out I am pregnant…well and a lot of yoga pants, but you know what I mean.

Okay ladies, I know you’re tired. I know you probably have lost track of what day of the week it. Your brain is overloaded with feeding schedules, nap times, endless loads of laundry and the vague tantalizing memory of what it was like to sleep more than 3 hours at a time. But I need you to focus for a second, this is important, Halloween is only a couple weeks away. Your little angel is only going to be this adorably tiny for a few more months, by this time next year you’ll be running after them and thinking about how much easier things were before they learned how to walk. You need a costume, something easy to make and comfortable enough to keep your little one quiet long enough to snap a few facebook pics. Here are some great ideas to help you work with something I’m sure you already have at least a dozen of, a onsie.
Doesn’t look to bad huh? So grab some fabric markers, or paint, a little felt if you’re feeling daring, and make the most of the 20minutes you have left before the next round of baby related insanity.

Time for another “Beautiful Blogger” highlight. This next blog I found by accident one day when I was flipping through some England based blogs that a friend recommended. As a matter of fact this blog was where I found one of my favorite posts of all time, The Story of Flat Stanley. Junkaholique is a liftstyle blog written by jewelry designer Artemis Russell. Junkaholique cronicles her travel and domestic adventures with her husband Nao, their company RUST Jewellery and the most recent addition to their family, their baby girl Pehr (pronounced “Pear”).
I find Artemis so incredibly inspiring. She one of those “superwomen” who can do it all, have the great job, the wonderful family and still have time to sew baby clothes and go on adventures in her little van. I am well aware that it probably isn’t nearly as effortless as it seems, but damn girl’s got skillz.

So my hormones are definitely all fired up this month, the baby crazy is back with a vengeance. I figured since it had been a few months since I’d had a serious swing, I would buy something adorable and tiny and just get over myself. Specifically, I wanted to buy one of these beautiful crochet dolls that I saw featured on Diary of a Mod Housewife. Apparently her little girl loves them.
The dolls were available online from Ooshki, or at least they used to be. Once again in a quest for a bargain, I waited to long and now I can no longer get the much coveted item (sigh). Oh well, hopefully i’ll be on the other side of this thing in a day or two. Until then I’ll just have to settle for spoiling my furry children with snuggle and treats. Sounds just awful right?
