Now that we are mere hours away from dipping our toes in the month of February, I feel like it’s finally appropriate to start posting things for Valentine’s Day or, as I referred to it for most of college, “Singles Awareness Day”. Regardless of how you feel about this hallmark holiday, I feel like it is an excellent excuse to indulge in a little retail therapy: in this particular case, a new dress. Big date, night out with the girls, or even just a little something to wear to the office. There are few things that can so effortlessly lift my mood the way a killer dress can. Here are a few of the options I thought looked like pretty excellent candidates when browsing online.
- Adanne Lace Dress – Anthropologie
- Gabriella Lace Dress – Ruche
- Harper Lace Dress – Dress Barn
- Ruffle Hem Surplice Dress – White House Black Market
- Sequin Wrap Dress – Eloquii
- Floral Off-Sholder Dress – Banana Republic
- Queen of Hearts Mini – Free People
- Luring Lace Dress – Lane Bryant
- Laser Cut Tulle Dress – Torrid
As you can tell, I am not super decisive about what I’m in the market for quite yet. I still have a couple of weeks to figure it out though.
One of the saddest things about living in Florida is how short spring is. We get maybe 4-5 weeks between Winter and Summer. All over social media people are posting beautiful fields of spring blossoms and boasting about busting out their open toed shoes, and we hit hot and muggy weeks ago. Fortunately, fashion is finally catching up with the weather, and I am loving the loose, breezy sundresses popping up everywhere. Usually I like garments with a bit more structure, but these dresses seem ideal for keeping cool while running around.
That lilac one in particular is really speaking to me; I already have the perfect pair of silver sandals to wear with it, and it seems a shame to let a perfectly good outfit idea go to waste. What items are you looking at adding to your spring wardrobe?
We are quickly moving towards the more glamorous part of the holiday season. Halloween is fun, Thanksgiving is comfy casual, but Christmas & New Years? Those holiday parties usually require a little something special. Now these Party Dresses by Free People may not be the most budget friendly option, but you definitely won’t have to worry about showing up in the same dress as someone else. Glitzy, Glamorous and Gorgeous.
Serious eye candy, but I will most likely be adding something like this to my closet about the same time as start making enough to allow Andy to be a house husband. He has already promised that if I figure out how to make him a “kept man” he’ll cook, clean and work out until he gets ripped like Hugh Jackson was in the Xmen movies. A girl’s gotta dream big right?
Tis the season for holiday parties, work parties, family parties, friend parties…you get the idea. With Christmas only a little over a week away, shopping days are dwindling and calendars are filling up. Here are some of my favorite short parties dresses that will give you that little boost of “I look amazing” you need to have a truly awesome time.
Cute right? If you can’t tell I am a big fan of brocade and sparkle this season.
I it’s important to have a date night. Even if you’re married, especially if you’re married. Relationship status aside a girl needs to dress up and go out somewhere special, even if she has to take her self. Bonus, you have an excuse to buy some thing pretty. Something a little floaty, a little girly and a little sexy, and right now I am really digging the summer dress collection at Free People.
See? Absolutely perfect for a sultry summer date night.
